St. Paul School is a very special place. We are most proud of our students and staff and grateful for our outstanding and ever supportive PTA. In order to offer some highlights, I would like to acknowledge a few of our accomplishments:
> We are nationally accredited by “AdvancED” (the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement – NCA – CASI)
> Recently we have established a “Middle School” model of education for grades five through eight where students move among seven 53 minute periods per day encompassing subject areas of:
*Once students complete their eighth grade year, they are eligible to take an end-of-the-year Spanish I exam allowing them the opportunity to enter Spanish II at the high school level.
> A curriculum supplement has been added to the students’ day, entitled “Writing Across the Curriculum.” Teachers in all subject areas expect students to write properly constructed sentences and paragraphs as part of their learning experience. The grading of cross - curricular writing assignments is guided by the same writing “Rubric” used in Language Arts class.
> Students are placed into math groupings according to their math abilities determined by standardized testing, classroom grades, and teacher recommendation. Students are then challenged at their individual math level.
> All grade levels (Pre – K through 4) are scheduled each week for “Specials” such as art, music, library, computers, and physical education).
> Two new academic goals have been added to our students expectations this year:
We are always happy to greet new visitors and to share information about St. Paul School. We offer a full academic curriculum for Pre-K through 8th grade levels. Please contact us at 609-386-1645 for additional information.
